The company's lead product candidate VT-1953, a dual DNA Gyrase/Topoisomerase inhibitor and immunomodulator in a topical gel formulation that is in phase 2 clinical stage for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis. It also develops VT-1908, a topical eye drop is an inosine 5'-monophosphate dehydrogenase enzyme inhibitor to treat immunoinflammatory conditions of the eye; and VB-1953, which is in phase 2 clinical stage for the treatment of inflammatory acne. In addition, the company develops antifungal products using the molecular replacement therapy (MRT) platform. It has a collaboration and license agreement with Sun Pharma Laboratories Limited to develop and commercialize next-generation antifungal products. The company is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
