Its products are used in various electronic products in a range of applications for the industrial Internet of Things (IoT), including connected home and security, industrial automation and control, smart metering and agriculture, smart street lighting, renewable energy, electric vehicle supply equipment, industrial wearables and equipment, commercial building automation, consumer electronics, asset tracking, and medical instrumentation; and commercial IoT applications, including smart buildings and lighting, access controls, asset tracking, electronic shelf labels, theft protection, power tools, and enterprise access points. The company's smart home applications comprise smart home cameras, locks, gateways, residential lighting, window shades/blinds, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, switches, smoke/CO detectors, sensors, and home security panels; and connected health applications, including diabetes management, consumer health and fitness, elderly care, patient monitoring, and activity tracking, as well as provides wireless microcontrollers products. It sells its products through its direct sales force, as well as a network of independent sales representatives and distributors. The company was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
