The company was formerly known as Wacker-Chemie GMBH and changed its name to Wacker Chemie AG in October 2005. Wacker Chemie AG was founded in 1914 and is headquartered in Munich, Germany. The company operates as a subsidiary of Dr. Alexander Wacker Familiengesellschaft mbH.
